Radon & Sewer
What is Radon and do you need to test for it?
Radon is serious, it is the second leading cause of lung cancer. It is a naturally occurring, colorless, odorless, radioactive gas given off by soil and rock within the earth. Radon comes into homes through the earth into the foundation and the home. Credible Home Inspections offers Radon testing as part of our service and strongly recommends it to anyone thinking of buying or selling a home. The test takes 48 hours, and is only $150.

Why a Sewer Scope?
The purpose of a sewer scope inspection is to determine the condition of the property’s sewer line and to determine if the system is functioning as designed. The pipe is visually inspected for such problems as root intrusion, pipe separation, standing water and a broken or collapsed line. After the completion of the sewer scope our customers receive an inspection report.
Because the cost to repair sewer line problems can be expensive, sewer scope inspections have become an important part of the Home Inspection for home buyers. If no problems are detected, buyers gain peace of mind knowing that. If there are problems, the buyer can use the results of the sewer scope to negotiate with the seller to pay for potentially costly repairs.
*Septic inspections also available. Credible Home Inspections coordinates with certified third parties for sewer and septic inspections.
